Meet Our Pastor
Gwendolyn Brown was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, the youngest of seven children of the late Jerry Brown, Sr., and Glenola Brown. Rooted in a strong family and a strong faith community, she learned early the value of service, compassion, and perseverance.
She is the proud mother of two children, Justin Denzel Brown and Chanel Santeria Brown, and the loving fur mom of Mercury. Her educational journey began in Anderson County schools—New Prospect Elementary, Lakeside Middle, and Westside High—and continued at Anderson University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource and Service in 2008. In 2024, she completed her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, deepening her commitment to supporting others’ emotional and spiritual well-being.
Gwendolyn faithfully served as the Anderson District Lay Servant Director for twelve years, helping to equip and encourage leaders across the district. In 2022, she answered her call to ministry, stepping into the pulpit with humility and obedience. After three years of dedicated service, she became a licensed minister in 2025.
She considers it a sacred honor to preach the Gospel and serve as an Under Shepherd, always pointing back to Jesus Christ, the true Shepherd. She desires that her words, her walk, and her witness consistently reflect His love and character.
In August, Gwendolyn will begin pursuing her Master of Divinity at Garrett‑Evangelical Theological Seminary as she continues to grow in her calling and prepare for the next chapter of ministry.
Her life is a testimony of faith, service, and surrender—offered to God for His glory and the building of His Kingdom.
